General Information

Q: How do I get to the venue?
A: From the south: Turn left off SH1at the first set of lights (just over the bridge), proceed down Te Moana Road until you reach Ngarara Road on your right following signs to Nga Manu. Proceed along Ngarara Road for 3kms then turn right into Nga Manu

From the north: Turn right off SH1 at the second set of lights then follow above directions.

Q: Where do I park?
A: Drive into the Nga Manu driveway, continue down until you are directed into the parking area.

Q: Is parking extra cost?
A; No, but the Lions, who run the parking on a voluntary basis, will be collecting a koha for charitable purposes.

Q: How far to walk to the concert from the car park?
A: Less than ½ kilometer.

Q: What food will be for sale?
A:

This year we are providing a wider range of food giving you the opportunity to have a really easy night of it - all you need to do is pack some of your favourite wines and beers and head along. We will have some great options for you to deal with any hunger pangs you may get throughout the evening.

CAMDEN CREPERIE

The Camden Creperie is named after the famous Camden Market in London where Naj cooked for 12 years on his way to becoming a Crepe Master. Camden Creperie has been at the Harbourside Market in Wellington for over a year and is one of the most popular stalls. Hungry market goers line up on Sundays to sample the delicious varieties of Crepes and to listen to Naj's cheerful banter. Naj has also been a regular at WOMAD and this year is giving Sounds 'n Nature Concert goers the opportunity to experience his delicious fare.
Savoury options include:
Rocket and cheese, Ham and Cheese, Spinach and cheese, Cheese and sweet corn For something special try the Deluxe Crepe: Rocket, Ham, cheeses, sweet corn with black truffle oil. For those with a sweet tooth try one of the many tasty treats including: A maple sugar crepe or the classic sugar and lemon So don't be shy, grab a crepe, sit yourself down and listen to the music. You will not be disappointed.

SURF CAFE

A hot espresso coffee goes down well at any time of the day or night so get in line and enjoy a Surf Cafe coffee to your liking.

GOURMET SAUSAGES

Waikanae Butchery make 'world famous' sausages which will be on sale for concert goers. Munching on a sausage sandwiched in a freshly made bun with the sauce of your choice will find you well satisfied and ready for more dancing and singing along with the music..................but be warned, one may not be enough. The lads from the Waikanae Fire Brigade are expert cooks so get in early to enjoy their fare.

FRUIT SCOOP GELATO

Head into the evening with a yummy 'Real Fruit Gelato' ice cream. After dancing away to the wonderful music treat yourself to the delicious tastes of a cooling gelato ice cream - you will not be disappointed.

BIZZY BEE

Thirsty work, all this singing and dancing so head on up to Bizzy Bee and enjoy a coffee or your choice, a frappé or a milkshake to help ease those vocal chords.

INDIAN FOOD STALL

From the Dosa land in Southern India comes a variety of traditional Indian delicacies exclusively for the palate of Coasters, Wellingtonians and our guests to Sounds n Nature. These ancient recipes have spiritual value of Food for Aatman (Soul), and are vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and delicious. We make fresh, made-to-order food with dextrous hands that have over 20 years of experience in cooking a very traditional Indian cuisine. We welcome you to 'taste and experience' our classy South Indian Cuisine.

Note: Our food is not spicy as it is made to NZ conditions. But for the adventurous among us we can spice it up on demand.


Q: Can I bring a picnic?
A: Yes.

Q: Can I bring alcohol?
A: Yes bring your own alcohol as there are no liquor sales on site.

Q: Is it ok for kids and families?
A: Yes this is family concert and we love to see children there. There are water hazards and there will be a crowd so please keep your eyes on your children and look after them. Note that child and high school ticket holders must be accompanied by an adult ticket holder.

Q: How do I know if it is cancelled due to weather?

Q: Do you have eftpos or credit card facilities?
A: There are no eftpos facilities but there are credit card facilities.


Q: What else should I bring?
A: A warm waterproof coat in case we get the odd shower.

Q: Where do I get tickets?
A: You can buy online or buy from our list of outlets ... click here.

Q: Can I get a refund for unused tickets?
A: No.

Q: Do I get a refund if it is cancelled?
A: Yes, if the concert is cancelled prior the start of the concert. To apply for a refund, please send your tickets, together with a written note stating your name, the place and date of purchase. Please include a self addressed, stamped envelope and send this to: Sounds n Nature Charitable Trust, P O Box 126 Waikanae.

You will be refunded the cost of the tickets, less an administration fee of 15%. Ticket refunds available up to Saturday 20th March, after that time any unclaimed refunds will be deemed to be a donation to be shared between the two charities.

Q: Do I get a refund if the concert is shortened due to weather?
A: No.

Q: Will there be gate sales?
A: There will be limited gate sales available but the only guarantee of entry is to pre-purchase tickets.
